PDF Page Size Converter

Make every page of a PDF the paper size you need. Choose A4, US Letter, Legal, A3, A5, A6, B5, Tabloid, Executive or a custom size in millimetres, keep each page’s orientation or force portrait or landscape, and decide whether content is scaled to fit, kept at its actual size or stretched. Content stays vector, so text remains sharp and selectable.

PDF Page Size Converter FAQ

What is the difference between the fit modes?

Scale to fit enlarges or reduces each page proportionally so it fits entirely. Actual size keeps the original scale and centres it, cropping if the new paper is smaller. Stretch fills the paper exactly but distorts proportions.

Will text stay selectable?

Yes. Pages are embedded as vector content, so text, lines and images keep their quality.

What happens to links and form fields?

They are not carried over, because each page is placed onto a new sheet. Fill forms before converting.

Does it handle rotated pages?

Yes. The displayed orientation is used and kept.

What sizes does my PDF have now?

After you drop the file, the tool lists the page sizes it found.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It is processed on your device.

Changing the paper size of a PDF

A PDF page has a fixed size in points, and printers react differently when it does not match the paper: some shrink, some crop, some ask the user. Converting the pages to the target size before printing or sending the file removes the guesswork and makes mixed-size documents uniform.

The converter places each original page onto a new sheet of the chosen size. In fit mode it scales the page proportionally so everything is visible, which is the safe choice for printing. Actual size keeps measurements exact, useful for drawings and forms that must stay at scale, and centres the page with white space or cropping. Stretch fills the sheet exactly, which is only right when small distortions do not matter.

Orientation follows each page by default, so landscape pages stay landscape on the new paper, or can be forced to portrait or landscape. A margin adds white space for printers that cannot print to the edge or for binding.

Because pages are embedded as vector graphics, text remains crisp and searchable. Interactive elements such as links and form fields belong to the old page and are not transferred. Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib.
