Accessibility Statement Generator

Publish an honest accessibility statement for your website or app. Choose the standard (WCAG 2.2 or 2.1) and level, state whether the site is fully, partially or not conformant, list known problems with what users can do instead, describe what you do to support accessibility, and give an email or phone number for feedback with a reply time. The generator adds how and when the site was assessed and warns about contradictions, such as claiming full conformance while listing known issues.

Template, may need legal review. Only claim the conformance level you have actually tested. Public-sector bodies in the EU and UK must follow a fixed model statement, and other laws (such as the European Accessibility Act or the ADA) may apply – this is not legal advice.

    Accessibility Statement Generator FAQ

    Is this legal advice?

No. It is a template, may need legal review, and should be checked by a qualified lawyer for your country and business before you publish it.

Do I need an accessibility statement?

Public-sector bodies in the EU and UK must publish one, and the European Accessibility Act requires information about accessibility for many consumer products and services from June 2025. For others it is good practice.

Can I claim WCAG conformance without testing?

No. Only claim what you have tested, ideally with an audit that includes keyboard and screen reader testing.

What if parts of my site are not accessible?

Say so, explain the workaround and when you plan to fix it. Honesty is better than an unsupported claim.

    An honest statement builds trust

People with disabilities use an accessibility statement to know what to expect and how to get help. A clear contact route and a realistic reply time matter as much as the conformance claim.

Important: the result is a template, may need legal review, and is not legal advice. The generator only knows what you tell it, cannot check what your website really does, and laws differ between countries and change over time. Have the text reviewed by a qualified lawyer before you publish it, especially if you handle sensitive data, sell to consumers abroad or work in a regulated field.

Keep the document honest and current. Regulators and courts look at what you actually do, not at what a policy says, so update the text whenever you add a form, plugin, payment provider, analytics or advertising tool, and keep older versions with their dates.
