    Amazon Bullet Point Generator FAQ

How many bullet points does Amazon allow?

Five in most categories. They appear under “About this item” on the product page.

How long can each bullet be?

Amazon’s guidance is up to 255 characters per bullet in most categories. Shorter bullets are easier to read on mobile.

What is not allowed in bullet points?

Promotional and pricing information, shipping and company details, guarantees, emoji, special characters used as decoration, and links. Category style guides may add rules.

    Why use capital labels?

A short label in capitals lets shoppers scan the bullets and find the feature they care about. It is a widely used convention, not a requirement.

What order should the bullets be in?

Most important first: the feature that most buyers decide on, then the ones that answer common questions such as size, compatibility and care.

    Is my listing data stored?

No. Bullets are generated in your browser. Only the optional AI button sends the fields to the server.

Five lines that sell or do not

On an Amazon product page, the bullet points are the most-read text after the title. They sit beside the images, above the fold on most screens, and shoppers use them to confirm that the product does what they need. Many never scroll to the longer description.

Effective bullets lead with the benefit and support it with a fact. A label such as “WATER RESISTANT” tells the shopper what the bullet is about; the detail explains why it matters and proves it: “recycled nylon shell keeps gear dry in light rain”. Five such bullets, ordered by importance, answer most of the questions a buyer would otherwise ask or look for in reviews.

Amazon restricts what bullets may contain. Prices, promotions, shipping information, guarantees and claims about the seller are not allowed, and neither are emoji or links. Bullets that break these rules may be removed, and repeated violations can affect the listing. The generator flags the common problems so you can fix them before submitting.

Above all, be accurate. A bullet that overstates a feature leads to returns, negative reviews and possible complaints from customers or competitors. State measurable facts, include units, and keep the language plain. Clear, true bullets build the trust that turns a visit into a sale.
